Kay sneakily waited until we went out to eat this evening before squeezing in another improvement. O2 down to 65%, BP meds stopped (!), BP 90, HR 120 down from 160, ventilation pressure down 15%, fluid extraction up to 100ml/hr. Great kid.
Nite, nite.
Good to hear it is going in the right direction. Keep up the faith!

I've been thinking about this Disney business and I've come to a surprising conclusion, based on the evidence. Firstly, when Kay was sick what helped her the best? Coca Cola. What was the recommended diet immediately afterwards? McDonalds. Coke, McDonalds, Disney: the holy trinity of American youth. Where did the bone marrow come from? Yes, the USA.
ReplyDeleteShe is in withdrawal from Americana.
Morning Kay,
ReplyDeletea little in the good direction yesterday evening, hope the night brought you progress again.
Hugh,

Great to hear this news. The real fighting spirit of Kay is showing through. And if Disney can win over even Russell, then there's hope for you Rob. Prayers and thoughts are with you all. Annette x

Yo Bro, I'll be sure to raise the Americana issue with the docs later.
ReplyDeleteDear Rob,
ReplyDeleteThanks for the update. It is now Thursday morning so we are hoping Kay had a good night.
I was in late last night and rang home at about 8 pm and Amy answered the phone to tell me that she was looking at Kay's blog to see how she was. Small steps towards progress. Long may that continue.
On a total side issue, I have been fascinated with your site meter thingy that tells you how many people have looked at your site, from where and for how long etc... I have been reading "Googled - how Google changed the world as we know it", an account of how Google started etc and of the development of data mining. I had not appreciated until then how much information was collectable.
Finally, regarding Euro Disney I think the ride you describe as an alternative probably exists already at Disney except that you will have to queue for 3 hours to get on...
